This weekend on Ambitious Cooking with Jezebel...
I cooked squid!
That's right... squid. It's amazing what the discount fish section at the grocery store will inspire.
Ambitious Cooking is meant to get *cough* certain people out of boring food habits. Certain people like to eat a lot of beige food, easy food. So, certain people are giving themselves a kick in the pants and trying new things.
I googled some recipes and made up my own: stir fried with olive oil, onions, and some salt. What they don't tell you on the internets-- THE TENTACLES SQUIGGLE WHEN YOU COOK THEM. THEY MOVE LIKE THEY ARE ALIVE. THEY WAVE AT YOU. IT IS DISTURBING.
Other than that, squid went super well-- the top part tasted better than the tentacle part, but practice makes perfect. Here's pictures:

Day 1
I've been thinking a lot about dating. I've been dating a lot-- pretty much non-stop since I started my freshman year of high school. That's 8 solid years now. And I'm getting kind of burnt out. I feel like I should not be burnt out at 22, so I'm going to take a bit of a break.
The goal is to go a year without dating. I'll get some hobbies, start reading again, work on my friendships, and brave the scary post-grad world.
I think it'll be baller.
